While the best choice it to avoid waste in the first place, sometimes that's difficult to do. With China and other countries refusing to accept our, let's face it, pretty disgusting recycling materials, it's time we sorted ourselves and our waste out.
By separating our waste into single materials streams, we can make what was rubbish into a valuable commodity. Instead of going to landfill, it can be sold and turned into new products.
The RRR committee have created separate containers for the following waste/reusable items. You'll find them either in the Bins area or in the Mailroom.
Metals - the blue drums in the Bins area
Cardboard - Uncoated cardboad that is flattened at least of the size indicated on the overhead sign can be placed in the station in the Bins area. It is available for use by residents under mulch. Please consider if the cardboard you have is suitable for this purpose. If not, put it in the large recycling skips.
